Even the Schenna welcome at the entrance to the village gives you an idea: this will be the start of a holiday resort rich in tradition, with plenty of sun and blossoming nature. Situated on the sunny plateau above Meran, Schenna is one of South Tyrol's most scenic holiday backdrops. This reaches from the city walls of the spa town of Meran up to the summit crosses on the Hirzer and Ifinger at almost 2,800 metres.

Schenna is a village that upholds its traditions. This is particularly evident during various parades, concerts and festivals. Experience the rural charm close to the city!

Early spring, longer summer

Spring arrives earlier in Schenna than elsewhere. While many a white peak can still be seen in the distance, the most beautiful colours bloom around the house. From March onwards, you can experience the gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle in their springtime explosion of colours and go on hiking and cycling tours through the apple blossom. The temperatures in Schenna remain mild in summer until late autumn and the sun shines all day.

Always worth a trip!

A wonderful hotel with a great location. Family run with permanent staff. Excellent service and outstanding food. This hotel has a lot of regular guests, we have been there several times. Marianne, the good soul of the house, and her colleagues ensure a terrific feel-good atmosphere. First-class value for money.

Food delicious, atmosphere very friendly, facilities especially sauna very good. The staff, especially Marianne, are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Always glad to come back.

We feel really comfortable in the Mitlechnerhof

Small hotel with excellent cuisine and 5-course menu (Italian chef), very warm and friendly, a wonderful destination...My wife and I and our Jack Russell terrier were well looked after...Mainly couples or small middle-aged groups who like hiking and want to conquer and enjoy nature

Relaxing holiday in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere

The hotel is comfortable, friendly and in a very quiet location. We felt very comfortable. A wonderful place to start the day, either hiking or cycling. We liked the Schenna Card, which you can use to reach the nearest villages every half hour free of charge. The cable cars were also discounted.
